Ed Lyon is a Therapist and Performance Coach based in Cheltenham and London, but specialising in online therapy. Therapy

Ed’s approach is holistic and integrative. Although the major techniques are CBT and Hypnotherapy, he includes methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Lifeskills Counselling as well as meditative techniques to create an individually tailored therapy for each client. Compassion and confidentiality are fundamental to his approach.

Coaching

Being a performer - be it dance, music or theatre and screen - involves a unique collection of stresses. Quite apart from having to run a business as a freelancer and all the stress and uncertainty which comes with that, people who perform for a living are under a huge amount of scrutiny: from themselves, their peers, their employers and their audience.

Stress & Anxiety

Anxiety and stress are ever increasing in today’s society. While a natural level of stress in life is unavoidable, sometimes our skills for dealing with it are overwhelmed, adversely affecting our daily lives and our relationships with those around us.

Anxiety, sometimes brought on by stress, is the root cause of many of the psychological issues adversely affecting our lives today. Unchecked, anxiety can cause our health and relationships to deteriorate, affect our work and leisure time, our sleep patterns and our everyday emotional stability.

Particularly now, in the light of a global pandemic, we may feel the need for support and new resilience to regain equilibrium in our lives, and this therapy is designed to do exactly that.
